A New Season

Hello,

With Labor Day having come and gone and the cooler temperatures this week, it seems that fall is unofficially here. I don't know about you but I love the fall. It is probably my favorite time of the year. The weather is great for outdoor activities like walking, jogging, biking, camping, football, etc.

I also like the fall because it is the time for harvest. As a kid I can remember helping my dad haul corn in out of the fields, sometimes late into the evenings. It is a very exciting thing if you are a farmer. We also get to enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables this time of year right off the trees and out of the gardens. It is a time to reap and enjoy the fruit of our labor.

Another reason I like fall is because it tends to bring people back into focus. Many times people's summers can get a little hectic trying to get in all the family reunions, vacations, weddings, etc. These things are all great, but if you're like me you also enjoy some normalcy and focus.

Jesus said in Matthew 9:37,38 "...The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest". Let's take advantage of the focus that this time of year can bring and purpose to bring in a great spiritual harvest for the Lord. Let's carry that momentum right into the end of the year and all of next year! God bless each of you. Pastor Rebecca and I love you and count it a privilege to be co-laborers together with you.

Sincerely,

Pastor Jeff
