No Limits!

Hello,

Recently our son Jason, who is four years old, began to ride his bike without training wheels. I know that there are probably many other four year olds and even younger children who have learned to ride a bike, but I took great joy in watching him because he was so determined to do this. He has been watching his older brother do this for a while now. He decided that he too could be a big boy and take off the training wheels. He doesn’t like to be outdone by his older brother in anything.

He started by asking me to remove one training wheel. He rode like that for a few days, leaning on the training wheel only when needed. Within a few days he wanted the other one removed as well. As soon as it was off he zoomed across the drive way and back as fast as possible. He acted like it was no big deal and as if he had been doing that for weeks. He figured that if Michael could do it then he could too!

The Lord began to prompt me that He wants us to think that way concerning His life on the earth. We cannot and never will be God, but Jesus made a way for us to live like Him! Jesus said in John 14:6 that He is “the way, the truth, and the life”. He came not just to show us the way but also to give us the power to live in His ways. In John 14:12 Jesus said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father”. Jesus authorized us and empowered us to live in His ways and to do the works that He did.

Romans 8:29 says, “For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren”. God wants us to look at Jesus’ life and say, “If He did it, than I can do it by the power of the Holy Spirit working in me”. We too can live righteously, shine the light of Jesus, set the captive free, and bring deliverance and healing to this generation. Let’s set our sights high. Jesus is our example, and He is here to help us live our lives according to the pattern that He set for us!

God bless you,

Pastor Jeff
