God Bless the USA

Greetings Everyone,

This Sunday I will be preaching on taking our country back for God. I would like to take this opportunity, though, to encourage each of you to thank God for all of the good things that we still have in this nation. I believe that the United States is still the greatest nation in the world!

We have liberties here that afford us rights that most other countries do not enjoy in the same way we do. First and foremost is our right to worship without being told which religion or which denomination we need to adhere to. A church like ours would not be allowed in many nations.

We also have the freedom of speech, which means we can freely talk about God, government, the Bible, or whatever else we want to talk about. This is huge when it comes to propagating the gospel and shaping the government of our nation.

Something that many people don’t think much about is the fact that we are still a capitalistic nation, although there is certainly a move to make our nation more socialistic. This gives us the right to choose how we are going to spend our money without the government taking it and deciding for us. If you ever talk to someone from Europe you will find that we have much more freedom in this area than most other “free” nations. I pray that I can still say that a few years from now!

We also have the freedom to work where we want doing what we enjoy. This is not true in some countries. This allows each of us to pursue our God given dreams.

We also have the right to get the education that we desire. Again, this is not possible in some countries. This can help equip us to do what we are called to do and to better ourselves.

We have been the most blessed nation spiritually and financially, which has allowed us to send out more missionaries than any other country. This has helped us to reap blessings as a nation.

We have so many other blessings that I don’t have time or space to discuss, such as abundance of food and a high percentage of home ownership. We have been the envy of other nations for years.

Let’s pray that America will continue to serve God so that He can continue to “shed His grace” on us!

God bless,
Pastor Jeff
