Vision for 2011

Dear Church Family,

As you heard in our vision service a few weeks ago, our vision for 2011 is “A year to retool and to refire.” Some of you have borne witness to this and said that God is already retooling and refiring things in your own lives. We praise God for that and release our faith with you for everything God wants to do in your life this year to be accomplished.

As a church we expect to see a real stirring of the Spirit of God within our spirits to serve Him and to be on fire for Him as never before. Romans 12:11 in the Amplified says, “Never lag in zeal and in earnest endeavor; be aglow and burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord”. God wants to keep us continually aglow and burning with the Spirit! Second Timothy 1:6 says, “Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you…” Worship, prayer, Bible reading, and church attendance are all importance aspects of that happening in our lives.

This is also a year to retool some things. God wants us continually sharpening ourselves and giving attention to detail. Retool means to reequip, to reorganize, to revise, to modify, to update, and to make especially minor changes or improvements. Many times before God will have you do something large He will first have you do a series of small things to prepare you for the large thing. I believe that God is preparing us for some great and large things in our future. Let’s be obedient to do what He speaks to us now so we are ready for the things He wants to do in the future.

In the midst of retooling and refiring let’s also continue to believe God for an increase of souls being added to the Kingdom of God in our church. We have already been seeing this happen, but want to see many more added to the Kingdom in this year. We love and appreciate each of you. Thank you for your part in reaping the harvest in these last days!

God bless,
Pastor Jeff
