Dear Church Family,
As we begin a new year
I want to encourage each of you to evaluate various areas of your life and set
goals for the new year. There is
something within each of us as Christians that causes us to want to become
better and do more for the glory of God.
It is part of our nature as children of God. Philippians 1:6 says, “He who has begun a
good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ”. God desires to perfect us more and more until
the day of His glorious return.
Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus
for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in
them.” God created us to fellowship with
Him and to bring glory to His name. John
Wesley famously said, “Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in
all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to
all the people you can, as long as ever you can.” What can you do in this year that will bring
more glory to God and that will help accomplish His plan and purpose on the
earth?
We serve a God who is perfect in every way. He meets us where we are and begins to work
in our lives by His love and grace. He
wants to touch every area of our lives and relationships if we will allow Him
to do so. One of my favorite verses is
Proverbs 4:18. It says, “The path of the
just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect
day.” What areas of your life do you
want God to touch this year so His light can shine ever brighter in your life?
I thank God for each of you. I
look forward to seeing all that God does in our lives individually and
corporately this year. Remember, you are
a champion and you serve an awesome God!
There is no limit to what He will do in our lives as we trust in Him and
allow Him to work in us and through us!
God bless.
